1)Think about an everyday practical activity that you are able to do right now (e.g., brushing your teeth, getting a cup of coffee, or something similar)
Describe the steps you go through to do that activity in a few lines.
Go and do the activity you just described. 2)Try to be aware of the steps you go through.
3)Look at your description of the activity and tell us if you were able to remember all the steps involved. What was difficult and what was easy?
Your hand-in should contain the description you made in step 1 as well as your reflections
The activity I choose:
Making the butter coffee
(A) the step I described before actually doing
1.boil the water
2.set the paper filter
3.put the coffee power into it
4.pour the boiled water
5. Pour the coffee in the bottle
6. Add the pure butter in the bottle
8. Pour the butter coffee in the cup.
(B) reflection after actually doing the activity
What was easy: I did all the steps that I described in the step 1
What was difficult: to describe everything before actually doing was difficult. I found that I actually did more small steps kind of unconsciously. E.g. cleaning other dishes while waiting for the water get boiled, shake the bottle several times according to the quality of the butter foam condition etc.
(What I learned through the task)
What the participants describe in the interview might be different/ much smaller or rough, compared to what they actually do in their daily life.
