美しいけど機能的でない、使いづらいもの…なぜ見た目と使いやすさは乖離しうるのか？

Please identify a product you feel possesses beauty yet offers poor usability, and outline why you feel there is a disconnection between the two.

A product which I feel possesses beauty yet offers poor usability is my Yoga leggings.
The Yoga leggings are partially see-through design, which I thought beautiful but eventually found out NOT functional since even the thigh part is kind of transparent and too sexy.

The disconnection between visceral design and behavioral design seems to be happened because the designer didn't test the usability.
The designer understands the customers' needs for the Yoga leggings which can be also used for daily life fashion but without trying to practice yoga wearing the legging, the designer couldn't understand that the product is too sexy and users would feel ashamed and hesitate to wear them for yoga practice.

シースルーでかっこいい、キレイ、ヨガの練習にもふだんのお出かけにも使えると思ったんだけど、
太ももまであるシースルーがけっこう透ける…😂
膝までにしておいてくれたら良かったのに、シースルー部分…
太ももまでシースルーだとヨガのレッスンにはセクシーすぎて恥ずかしくて着られない😂

なんでこうなったんや…？！
→ユーザーのニーズを深く理解してないからではないか。
→理解が足りないのはなぜ？
→ユーザビリティテスト、リサーチをしてないのでは。試しに使うことをしてない。
自分で着てみてない、デザイナーがヨガしてない人なのかも。

…なんでヨガしてないのにヨガウェア売る？
ヨガ人口が増えてて、ニーズはありそうやからかな？
ヨガでも使えて、日常でも使えるというニーズまでは読めているけど、
実際に使って本当に、日常とヨガプラクティス、両方で機能するのか確かめてなかったんじゃなかろうかね。

私は結局、日常で着ることをメインに、
ヨガのときは家で練習するのに着るか、
上からハーフパンツ履いて使っている。
